Drawing The Line

19 May

There is a lot going on in our country that I don’t understand. I do not believe that the people of yesteryear or so completely clueless and that the ones who are advocating all these new ideas are the only ones who are enlightened. In fact, I believe they are far from enlightened. I will even believe the third light bulb appears to be growing dim.

Allow me to rant for a bit:

Genesis 1:27 tells us that God made man in his own image. God is a perfect God. He knew what He was doing when he made each one of us. His word is clear and He is always right.

And He made men to be men and women to be women.

To stand up and acknowledge to everyone that you want to change your gender is not courageous. It is spitting in the face of God and saying that a perfect, Almighty, Creator made a mistake.

A hero is someone who overcomes every obstacle in order to serve God. It is not someone who makes headlines by announcing they want their scrotum cut off.

There are enough scriptures to make it clear that homosexuality is an abominations in the sight of God. I know that not every person in the world.  I wish that was true. But when I say I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, that does not mean that I hate the homosexual. You do not like to be stereotyped. Do not stereotype me. You do not like to be painted with a broad brush. Do not paint me with a broad brush.  In truth, the homosexual community may be the biggest bunch of hypocrites I have ever seen. They want tolerance, they want acceptance, they want to coexist. Yet they want everybody on their terms and to act in the way that they prefer. How is that tolerance? How is that coexistence? It’s not. It’s hypocrisy.

Speaking of stereotypes, I hate racism. I believe that God hates races up. But I do not believe it’s a way to handle it is to play The victim, ask for handouts, and a riot when things go against us. No, I am not saying that the police were involved in the case is in Baltimore, Missouri, or New York, or innocent. Quite simply, I don’t know. But a racist says that people of color are vandals, lawless, and incapable of solid reasoning.  By your rioting, all you did was give them credibility.

I simply want my country back. No, I do not believe that it was always perfect. I think the time of segregation that ended in the 60s is embarrassing. I do not like the fact that many were slaveowners in our country. There’s a lot that I do not like. But there was a time when we were more take a bowl sitting down, even though we did not agree, and working out our differences. Now, we are simply polarized. We don’t agree, and we don’t plan to agree, unless our side gets their way completely.

Now, I can’t write all of this without giving my own solution. And it is rather simplistic. Return to righteousness. Proverbs 14:34 says that righteousness exalt the nation. When we put our eyes back on God and take them off ourselves, we are going to do the right thing every time even if it makes us uncomfortable.

We need God to rule in America again. Call me a redneck. Call me intolerant. Call me self righteous. I frankly don’t care. I am tired of defending myself when I know that what I am saying is right. It is not right because I said it. It is right because it is been proven time and time again in the Bible. When countries and cities have turned away from God, they have fallen. We are headed that direction.
I pray we do something soon.
